How we Fix Spark Blowout! (Integra Goes fast!!)
i installed the lower temp thermostat and am going back to the factory thermostat. MN weather over the last month has had a bunch of days below zero and the warmest i can get the Coolant in this weather is 165. Even before watching this video i realize this temp is too low.
I run my low temp in the summer and factory in the winter.
solid video thanks
Great idea, need to take these on and off all the time for my camper.
i can tell you this, My stock mt82 had the rst in it already, did well until it broke 3rd gear, then i upgraded to the stage 3 trans from ben and he recommended the rxt clutch, well that didnt hold up long. 3-4th gets stuck and now im not gonna send it back but instead upgrade to the t56 trans. Ive been hearing stories about the rxt no matter what it will destroy your trans
That's a ben calimer issue IMO. Those guys might have built good transmissions a while ago but the one they built for my customer had the same problem they were supposed to fix, they tried blaming it on me. I had even told them prior to install and he said "just install it" so we did and it had to come back out. If you are drag racing or banging gears the T56 is the way to go, stay away from calimer IMO.
@ facts. First year I had issues and it was hard to get into second gear at times. I told him about it and said “ship it back, well check it out” I’m like naw, I ain’t gonna spend 500 in shipping again just for you to say it needs new gears and some other bs. Reason why I’m doing a t56 swap
@@kuksgarage2715 Exactly! I forced them to pay for shipping because I told them I'm not paying for shipping back if this doesn't work. It was still a battle. My T56 magnum has been great except for known 2nd gear syncro issue that was a production based problem that tremic recalled.
@ I hit up RPM trans for there level 6 swap, comes with everything and can handle 1300hp apparently so we’ll see.
Mine 2021 F450 broke down on me, with 140000 miles, with burn egr...is that over heating??
When I tighten mine the catch point is kinda high is that okay?
Yup totally fine
@@JaegerWrenchingokay thanks, it’s hard getting use to it being so high when I got used to it being so low.😂😂
I have a 2015 F350. Pulled my 12k trailer up a pretty serious grade. It was 74 degrees outside. My engine oil temp hit 247. My coolant temperature went up to almost 3/4 of the gauge. When I crested the hill, the temperatures came down quickly. I did not hear the engine fan engaging. I know my parameters were acceptable, but is it normal for it to get this hot low ambient temps. I’ve only pulled with it once, but it’s a freaking horse. I live in Nevada and it will be over 100°. I just want to ensure that I’m not gonna have any overheating issues. Any comments would be appreciated.
That is not normal. Is the truck tuned? Tuning can produce higher coolant temps and thus oil as well. Also check your coolant level, make sure you're full on both expansion tanks. Look for debris between the radiators. I tend to see a lot of leaves and trash buildup between the two rads, also bugs and rocks tend to get stuck in the radiator fins themselves on higher mileage trucks. Remove your plastic rad cover and look between them, shine a light on the backside and try to look through the radiator fins. These work well for cleaning them out: www.napaonline.com/en/p/BK_RG1002BK?cid=paidsearch_shopping_dcoe_google&campaign=GSC-Tools-Equipment&campaign_id=8553470562&adgroup_id=107047174069&adtype=pla&gclid=CjwKCAjwg-24BhB_EiwA1ZOx8jvOkEZz4UJb_HAo0bH7-mSRE312IQv535upJRVHGco-CaG7vxrTERoCVsgQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1
Thank you! Good information
Straight to the point straight out the window
Great video !
Wuzup man I’m new here 🤘🏾
I wish bud did part 2. If anyone wants I’ll be making a full guide video within September.
So tell me how do you know how many pounds of pressure your putting on the clutch pedal. You say it but what scale are you using to check that you never Said so how would anyone know how to do that use a bathroom scale I mean come on. When you do a vd you have to explain and show what your doing and what your using or its worthless just saying
I have a quick question? What is Ford’s desired oil temperature and what really is the sweet spot? I see coolant and transmission. I just want to make sure about oil. Because I live in Central Texas and it’s hot! I would really love to know! Thank you for the video!
Within 20* of Coolant. IE coolant = 220 oil should be 240 or less. Oil is cooled by coolant therefor it's temp will never be lower than coolant except during initial warmup. Bad oil coolers will cause higher deltas.
@@JaegerWrenching thank you! Just wanting to make sure! Got a new subscriber too 😎
Can the owner of a tune built by motor ops be edited like this or are we totally locked out?
Which dyno shop is that I need to get my cobra out there in the dyno to see what she’s making now
Where you at in NM? I’m from Albuquerque but live in Rio Rancho nice cobra
This was a genuinely good video, man. 👍
So everyone installing aftermarket thermostats is not a good thing.
Running RST in my 900whp 5.0 for 5 years. 46k miles later, still works. Can't do digs, because it slips, but rolls are fine, i shift at 7800rpm. Chatters since 50mile break in, i am used ti it already.
So... if I did a drag race whats the best 4hi or 2hi or 2low?
as someone whos a mechanical guy and hates wiring, you did a very good job explaining it. i already have a good understanding of wiring but if i was someone who didnt have a good understanding on it, this would be the perfect video to watch. thumbs up from me!
I got nothing out of this video, and that would be ok if there were a follow up video, but there isn't. Complete waste of time. Absolutely not worth the watch
If you got nothing from it you should not get into tuning. You are the type of person who would watch my video showing you exactly how I tune, yet you would still ask for more or say you don't understand X, Y, or Z... I didn't make any more videos because I weighed the benefits and realized I'd be inundated with questions from guys like you who bought software, tried tuning, and now can't get done what they thought they were smart enough to get done. Remember I don't owe you anything, including this video. There is no easy button for tuning, and there are many resources online including the HPTuners forum where I have laid out a lot of actual tuning info on there. If you are mad about me speaking facts about tuning in a completely free video, I can't imagine how angry you'd be if you'd spent money and still were not happy.... You literally proved my theory....
@@JaegerWrenching lol 1st of all; I'm not mad 😂 2nd, I do my own tuning and am mostly self taught. The reason I said I got nothing from this video is because you ramble on about mostly irrelevant stuff. If someone really needs to know that an engine has valve covers and shit they definitely shouldn't be near a tuning program. I came looking for actual useable info about tuning a 6.7 and there's LITERALLY ZERO. Sorry you were so offended by me stating my opinion. You know what else is my opinion??? The way you ramble on & on without actually saying anything suggests you're on drugs. You were wise decide not to make more videos if you're that fragile.
Nothing sounds like a cummins sorry😊
Rumble, the hiss gets annoying
Man I wish I would have seen this video before I went through this one tuner. Great info and know. I just delt with a tuner and dam their attitude is like, dude its straight forward and they don't answer their phones and emails are a little condescending. Hell I'd rather listen to your content than some of the popular ones. Just like someone said, you should have a lot more subscribers. SMH As for who my current tuner is I feel like I am at their mercy being they are writing the tunes for my truck LOL. If I decide to go a different route I will get with you for sure. I just spent @ 5-600 with the tune, unlocking & licensing (which I had questions and I was treated like you dont need to know that). They freaking reduced my MAX VINs from 600 to 20 Geez SMH. Anyhow great content and I'll work on sharing it and definitely have a new subscriber.
Watched this video 2x this has been a heavily discussed topic on the forums, appreciate your simple explanations of the process. Im going to jack up my car this weekend test your theory, and btw that is a beautiful CO cobra.
What parameters change when using sotf. I have a ezlynk but dont notice too much of a difference between tunes but i never push it to the limit so that maybe why. Your talking to me about learning. I am ready to go down the 6.7 tuning rabit hole.
Wish I could dislike million times
And all four of them are in the shop being worked on. Typical Dodge
Ones a camaro😂
Ones a mustang as well.... But one of the dodges is blown up.
Can I get a phone number.need work on my truck
Would love to see more 6.7 tuning stuff like rail pressure, timing, pilot, etc…
Best video on YT about the turbo and what’s goin on. Thanks bro
Would love to see hp tuners/ 6.7 tuning content!
very good contribution saves where can I buy find a procedure to install timing chain of the f150 xlt 5th 2018
Cobra bros are weird
So in a sense, you can have both?
You can have both but not simultaneously.
Thank you for this video
I did the read file on VCM Editor and i've got the file opened in VCM Editor. Where is the "Boost Pressure Control 0" located. I assume I click on "Engine" tab then it pulls up "GENERAL", "IDLE", "AIRFLOW", "FUEL", DIESEL FUELING", "DIESEL TIMING", and "TORQUE MANAGEMENT"? Thank you
Torque management, I suggest you look around and familiarize yourself with all the tabs until you know it like the back of your hand.
@@JaegerWrenching Didn't think bout it but I forgot to mention I have a 22 L5P and the file seems a bit different. Under Torque Management, there are "Vane Position - Low Alt", "Vane Position - Med Alt" and "Vane Position - High Alt." Under each of the "Vane Position" tabs there are sub tabs e.g. "Ref Map C1", "Ref Map C2", "Ref Map D1" etc. Which one of those tabs should I adjust? I want to say it's "Ref Map C1" under "Vane Position - Low Alt" but I cant be certain. Thank you
He is 100% right I have broke 7 cables cause of having slack in the cable
Where did you get the parts kit for the back seat lock?????
Are the washers on the quadrant necessary? Because mine didn't come with any.
Can you use the VGT tune on stock turbo
I don’t quite understand your question? I’ll say this, you can do this with any Variable Geometry Turbo = VGT for short. Some companies call them a VNT or variable Nozzle Turbo. The fact is any turbo that has vanes/nozzle you can do this with. That’s every diesel produced by any company currently today. So yes a stock turbo you can do this with.
luk= bent fingers.... Anyone have luck with that brand
A ported SC doesn’t increase displacement, it only throws air more efficiently
I just watched this again. You two are so cute together! 😍
So. What rookie ford engineer used a sheer mounting on a part under compression? Ridiculous!
Can I hire you?
